Cyclones in the NBA

CN rounds up some highlights from your favorite former Cyclones in the NBA.

Kelvin Cato is currently playing center for the Orlando Magic. Cato has yet to see action in a preseason game this year. He is averaging 5.7 points per game in his career along with 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks a game. Cato is ranked third all-time in field goal percentage and fourth in career blocked shots for the Houston Rockets. Cato will be playing his first season in Orlando this year; it will be his ninth year in the league.

Jamaal Tinsley is set to begin his fifth year with the Indiana Pacers. Tinsley was set back with a foot injury in the Pacers tailspin of a season last year but was averaging 19.1 points per game and 6.7 assists per game in only 36 appearances in 2004-05. Last year Tinsley tied the NBA season-high total of eight steals in one game against Detroit on 11/19/04. He is currently ninth all-time on the Pacers career assist list. Expect Tinsley to start the majority of games for the Pacers this season.

Jackson Vroman is now playing forward for the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets. So far in two preseason games Vroman is averaging 6.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Vroman should be looking forward to increased playing time now that he's in New Orleans after he was traded from the Suns last season.
