With the loss, ISU drops to 13-10 overall and 6-6 in Big 12 action. Colorado moves into a tie with the Cyclones and Kansas State for fourth place in the Big 12 with a record of 10-7 overall and 6-6 in conference play.
Boeve recorded her 118th block assist of the season in the third game and got number 119 later in the game.
Colorado took the first game 30-27 after rallying from an 8-5 deficit early in the game. The Buffs scored three straight to knot it up but ISU would battle back and hold a lead as late as 17-16. The Cyclones were unable to fend off the hot hitting Buffaloes, who hit .227 in the first game to take the win.
Jessica Klein had six first game kills to lead ISU and Amanda Craig moved into sixth place on the all-time ISU assists list with an assists to Klein that cut the CU lead to 14-13.
Game two was all Buffaloes as CU jumped out to a 7-0 lead behind the serve of Lara Bossow. The Cyclones were unable to mount a rally and were out-hit by Colorado, .452 to .048.
With their backs against the wall, the Cyclones were unable to fend off the Buffaloes and fell 31-29 in the third game. ISU led 29-28 but Colorado was able to score the final three points of the game and take the 3-0 win.
Klein was the only Cyclone to reach double-figures for the Cyclones, leading ISU for the second straight match with 13 kills. Amanda Craig tied a season-high with 16 digs to go along with 33 assists and six kills. Boeve had five block assists in the match.
Allie Griffin had 14 kills and Amber Sutherland chipped in 12 to lead Colorado, who hit .333 in the match.The Buffs out-blocked ISU, 11-9, in the match.
