Blythe named National Player of Week

The Walter Camp Football Foundation announced that Iowa State wide receiver Todd Blythe is its national offensive college football player of the week for leading the Cyclones to a 42-14 win Saturday at Texas A&M.

Blythe, a sophomore, set an Iowa State school record with four touchdown receptions and is the first Texas A&M opponent to make four TD grabs in a game.  Blythe caught passes for a career high (No. 2 ISU all-time) 214 yards.  He had TD receptions of 9, 53, 19, and 63 yards as Iowa State put up a total of 549 yards, the second-best Iowa State offensive output on the road (Colorado, 1982) in school history.
