Defensive Player of the Week
Brent Curvey, Jr, DT, Iowa State (Houston, Texas)
Defensive tackle Brent Curvey returned an interception 66 yards for a touchdown with 1:31 remaining as Iowa State upended No. 21 Colorado 30-16. Curvey also registered five tackles, including two for loss and a sack, as the Cyclones remain in the hunt for the Big 12 North Division title.
Offensive Player of the Week
Mike Hamilton ran for 161 yards and a touchdown in Oklahoma State's 24-17 win over 13th-ranked Texas Tech. It was the second straight 100-yard rushing game for the freshman tailback. Hamilton scored the game's first points on an 83-yard, first quarter, touchdown run. He ranks as OSU's single-season freshman rushing leader with 868 yards, breaking Jamaal Fobbs's record of 846 established in 1997.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Aaron Ross, Jr, PR-CB, Texas (Tyler, Texas)
Aaron Ross went 71 yards for a score on a punt return in Texas' 66-14 win over Kansas. It was his second punt return for a touchdown this season, tying the UT single-season record. For the game, Ross averaged 26.3 yards on three returns.
