Update on Cyclones in the NBA

Here is a look at how three former Cyclones are doing in the NBA's first ten games of the season.

Kelvin Cato is currently playing center for the Orlando Magic. Kelvin has yet to see action in a preseason game this year. Cato is currently averaging 4.2 points, and 3.4 rebounds a game. Cato is ranked third all-time in field goal percentage and fourth in career blocked shots for the Houston Rockets. This is Cato's first season in Orlando this year. This is Kelvin's ninth year in the league. The Magic are currently 6-6.




Jamaal Tinsley is in his fifth year with the Indiana Pacers. Jamaal was set back with a foot injury in the Pacers tailspin of a season last year but was averaging 19.1 points per game and 6.7 assists per game in only 36 appearances in 2004-05. Last year Jamaal tied the NBA season-high total of eight steals in one game against Detroit on 11/19/04. He is currently ninth all-time on the Pacers career assist list. So far in 2005, Tinsley has started 10 of 11 games for the Pacers. He is currently averaging 10.3 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. The Pacers are currently 8-4.




Jackson Vroman is now playing forward for the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets. This year in 10 games, Jackson is averaging two points a game and is averaging nine minutes a game. The Hornets are currently 6-6.
