Defensive Back Changes Visit Date

Devin McDowell talks about his thoughts on the Houston Bowl and where he stands right now in the thick of recruiting season.

Devin McDowell, a 5'10, 170 pound defensive back out of Garland, Texas has switched up his Iowa State visit. McDowell was supposed to visit this weekend but has changed it to next weekend due to obligations with a friend. McDowell is a speedy defensive back and brother to current Cyclone DeAndre Jackson. Devin is smaller than his brother but has a little bit more speed than DeAndre, which is scary.

Other than Iowa State, the only other team that McDowell is considering is Oklahoma State. McDowell has yet to take a visit to Oklahoma State but said he plans on taking one sometime in January. McDowell talked about making a commitment and his timeline for doing so.

"I'm going to take my visit and see how everything is. Then I'll make up my mind," said McDowell.

McDowell is extremely excited about Iowa State's berth in the Houston Bowl. He said that he plans on attending the game and is excited about it.
