Cyclones in the Pros- Dec. 26-Jan. 3

What's going with your favorite former Cyclones? We've got you covered right here at Cyclone Nation.

As we bring in the New Year and wrap up the NFL season, CycloneNation takes a look at your favorite former Cyclones.

NFL

Jordan Carstens-Carolina

Carolina thumped Atlanta 44-11. Carstens recorded 1 tackle in the victory. Catch Jordan and the Panthers next week as they take on the Giants in the playoffs.

Reggie Hayward-Jacksonville

Jacksonville smoked the Titans 40-13. Hayward was listed questionable for the game and didn't see any time as the team rested most players in preparation for the playoffs. The Jags look to take on the defending champion Patriots in the first round.

Ellis Hobbs-New England

We at Cyclone Nation would like to give Ellis some "props" for jumping into the starting lineup for the Pats. He also gave Iowa State some "props" during Monday Night Football saying he attended the, "up and coming Iowa State." Ellis went on to record 4 tackles. He also started last Sunday as the Patriots lost to Miami. However, Ellis had another nice game logging in 7 tackles. New England will take on Reggie Hayward's team in the first round of the playoffs.

James Reed-New York Jets

Reed and the Jets finished up their year 1-1. The Jets took on New England on Monday Night Football as Reed dominated with 7 tackles and a sack. He also had 2 tackles as the Jets defeated the Bills 30-26.

Sage Rosenfels-Miami

Did not play. Miami was victorious over the Patriots 28-26.

Oliver Ross-Arizona

Did not play. Arizona lost to Indianapolis 17-13

Seneca Wallace-Seattle

Seneca started at QB as the Seahawks traveled to the frozen tundra to play Green Bay. Seneca passed for 98 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Seahawks lost a pretty meaningless game 23-17. Look for Seneca's team to be the favorites to represent the NFC in the Superbowl as they begin the playoffs.

NBA

Kelvin Cato-Orlando

Orlando had a nice week winning all three games. Cato went 1-3 from the field with a steal and 3 boards in a 108-93 win against the Bucks. He also had 4 points, 3 boards, and a block in a 105-95 win against the New York Knickerbockers. Despite Cato's solid play, he didn't see any time in a 107-87 victory against the Timberwolves.

Jamaal Tinsley-Indiana

Tinsley got plenty of action this week as the Pacers played 4 games this week. In a loss at Dallas he had 12 points and 3 rebounds. At San Antonio he played 37 minutes and scored 20 points with 4 steals, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Unfortunately, he didn't see any time for the last 2 games as the Pacers lost to Toronto 99-97, and beat Seattle 115-96.

Jackson Vroman-New Orleans

The Hornets split 4 games this week beating Houston and Charlotte but losing to the Spurs and Dallas. He saw time vs. San Antonio and Dallas totaling 1 block, 1 board, and 4 points.
