CN Welcomes Nate Olson to the Staff

Cyclone Nation is proud to add another staff member that will be writing a weekly feature. Native Iowan Nate Olson, a sports journalist with 10 years experience, will take Cyclone fans down memory lane with his Catching up with ... feature.

 

The series will highlight former Cyclones' past accolades and fast forward to the present to give ISU fans a taste of what the former athletes are doing now.

 

Nate, 31, grew up in Carroll and began his journalism career in Iowa after graduating from Northwest Missouri State with a journalism degree. Nate was the sports editor at the Algona Upper Des Moines and Atlantic News-Telegraph newspapers.

 

Nate moved to Arkansas in 1998. He has served stints as a staff writer and sports editor at the Benton County Daily Record, and as a reporter covering the Unviersity of Arkansas for the Northwest Arkansas Times in Fayetteville. Nate currently serves as the sports editor for the Pine Bluff Commercial where he writes a twice-weekly column and covers the University of Arkansas at Pine

Bluff football team. He has also written freelance stories for Sporting

News, Slam among other magazines and appears regularly on a sports call-in radio show in Little Rock.
