Notes and Quotes from the Colorado Game

Come check out notes and quotes from Iowa State's big win against Colorado on Sunday. Here from all of the key players right here at Cyclone Nation.

Quotes:

Iowa State Head Coach Wayne Morgan

"I think it goes without saying, it was very nice to win a home game. Curtis recorded the third triple-double in school history. We had two other guys who had double-doubles tonight."

"Curtis Stinson is just a special, special player, a great college player. He's just so tough, so cerebral, and he's a winner."

"The two games that we played this year, the way we played against Nebraska and the way we played tonight, that's Cyclone basketball."

On the Big 12 Race:

"If we can sustain and win some more games, it puts us back in it."

Iowa State Guard Curtis Stinson

"We let a lot of games slip away here at home. We tried to come out today and keep fighting and never let our foot off the gas."

"Coming into this game, we knew that they had a lot of shooters out there. We told the big guys they had to get out on the shooters, and they took pride in that. Hall got hot early, but then we shut them down and got into a rhythm."

Iowa State Forward Jessan Gray

"Our practices have been extremely intense both offensively and defensively. The coaches have demanded a lot of us in practice the last eight days."

"The big thing was, if they got a three off, we had to contest it. Our guards stepped up and our big men played well."

"We came out with tremendous energy. The crowd got us going. We had to prove that we could play with the same level of intensity for 40 minutes."

Colorado Guard Richard Roby

"It's a frustrating loss; we just have to go back to the drawing boards. They play weird defenses and it's hard to read them."

On Stinson:

"He played well, he had a big game and he's a very good player. He had a triple-double and that's not easy to do anywhere."
