After Iowa State's 85-78 win over Missouri on Tuesday night, Wayne Morgan spoke with the media about his team's performance. Here are notes taken from the press conference.

 

  • Morgan talked about how he was happy to win on Senior Night. He then commented on how both Anthony Davis and John Neal contributed a lot to his team's win.
  • Morgan said that his team fed off of the crowds reaction to the intentional foul called on Will Blalock. Morgan jokingly said that it was the first time all season where the refs have helped Iowa State win.
  • Morgan talked about how his team shot a school record 32 3-pointers. He said that all of the 3-pointers that went down were big shots. Morgan then said that the 1-3-1 zone that Missouri was in made it easy for Iowa State to take 3-pointers. He said that Missouri was willing to give up the three.
  • Morgan said that because of the Nebraska and Kansas games, teams will being going inside all of the time against Iowa State from now on.
  • Morgan was proud that his team out rebounded Missouri by seven.
  • Morgan said that Jiri Hubalek had his best game of the season.
  • Morgan talked about how he was happy for John Neal and sad to see him go at the same time.
  • Morgan gave Missouri credit because they kept fighting. He said that in other places in that situation, the kids wouldn't keep going.
