Zac Sandvig In Action

Zac Sandvig, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound, athlete, from Valley high in West Des Moines, Iowa, signed to play for Iowa State in 2006. Sandvig was named captain of the 4A All-State team and after watching him on film, I could see why the Cyclone coaches are excited to get Sandvig in Ames this summer.

Speaking with Sandvig before signing day, he told that he was going to start out at cornerback for the Cyclones but after watching film of Zac, I can't see how the Iowa State coaches will let this young man get away from the offensive side of the ball.

Sandvig has outstanding speed, tremendous lamps (vision) and amazingly quick feet. He runs hard and with good pad level and above everything else, he's just extremely athletic. Sandvig could be used in the slot on bubble screens, in the backfield as a running back or as a wide receiver. Zac is also a very good blocker and you'll see his toughness. This is a football player who needs the ball in his hands.

Here is the first set of highlight clips from Zac Sandvig's senior season.
