Wilkins Earns Big 12 All-Tournament Honors

Iowa State senior Brittany Wilkins was voted to the 2006 Big 12 Conference all-tournament team by the media covering the event. She was the only member of the five-person elite squad that did not participate in the championship game. Wilkins is the seventh Cyclone to earn league all-tournament honors, while 11 of the 12 honors were during head coach Bill Fennelly's tenure.

Wilkins, who hails from Arlington, Neb., owns 10 double-doubles this season. She averaged 23.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in the tournament, despite going head-to-head against first-team all-conference centers in both games. An honorable mention all-conference performer, Wilkins has recorded one of the best senior seasons in Iowa State basketball history. She is second on the team with 15.7 points per game and leads the Cyclones with 8.7 rebounds per contest. She is shooting 50.8 percent from the floor, including 36.2 percent accuracy from behind the arc.
