Bernstine attended Iowa State's Junior Day a few weeks back and the Cyclones are hot on his trail.

"I liked how we broke down into individual groups and learned about the academics. We learned about different majors," said Bernstine.

Bernstine is an all around athlete but Iowa State will look to play him at defensive back if he ends up in Ames. One clue to that is that his primary recruiter is Iowa State Secondary Coach Chris Ash.

"I liked talking to the coaches. I talked to Coach Ash more than any of the other coaches."

Bernstine, an extremely focused individual doesn't have a major set yet but is looking into a career in business.

When it comes down to picking a college he doesn't have a favorite at this point. When comes down to it, Bernstine will be one of the more heavily recruited players in the state.

"I've been getting mail from quite a few schools now. Some of them include Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Purdue, Nebraska and Illinois," said Bernstine.

Bernstine is planning on attending numerous summer camps and some spring practices as well.
