Then on Wednesday, the CBS Sports Line article written by the great one, Gregg Doyel, surfaces. All of the sudden the Clones, who keep in mind aren't in the post-season, are right in the thick of things when it comes to media coverage in the college basketball world.
However, that wasn't the end of the
events on Wednesday.
It couldn't get any more hectic could it? Yes, I think it can and it did. Friday morning, Jamie Pollard fires Wayne Morgan and his entire staff.
What a week! It was emotionally exhausting for all diehard Cyclones. If there was a Cyclone fan that wasn't on edge on Friday afternoon, then that "fan" needs to look in the mirror and check his or her priorities.
Pollard Means Business
Jamie Pollard has sent a message
loud and clear, not just to the basketball program but to the athletic
department in general. No longer will

When it comes to talking about basketball, very few people know more than Gary Thompson. Thompson supports Pollard, and so do I. Here's what the legend had to say after Morgan was fired on Friday.
"I thought that there wasn't enough discipline in this program in lot of areas. That was my disappointment. This isn't just about discipline on the court. There are a lot of other issues that go into their (Pollard and the president) final decision. I trust their judgment."
Mr. Thompson, if you trust their judgment, so do I.
Jamie Pollard – Rock Star AD
Jamie Pollard doesn't just bring toughness to the AD position; he brings something much more important in my book. He brings charisma. Jamie Pollard is a people person. He understands the need to interact. He gets that people are the most important part of his job. Pollard truly cares about Cyclone fans. He's doing what he believes is best for us and that's his number one motive.
Let Jamie Pollard fail before we doubt him.
If I'm a betting man (which I am)
I bet he doesn't fail.
