Brown Returns Home From Ames

DT Jordan Brown attended the Iowa State Spring Game.

Chicago, Illinois (Hubbard) defensive tackle Jordan Brown is an emerging prospect as the May evaluation period is set to begin.

Yesterday, Brown made his way to Ames, Iowa where he watched the Iowa State spring game.

"Iowa State really has some nice facilities, and there seemed to be a good comrodarity between the players and coaches," Brown told Scout.com. "I got a chance to speak real briefly with Coach (Todd) Fitch, who recruits Chicago for them, and he really stressed to me the improvements they are making to their facilities and their desire to have football as the top sport at Iowa State. He has yet to see my tape, but wants me to get out there real soon before he makes his way over during the evaluation period."

This past Thursday, Brown also made his way out to Champaign, Illinois to view one of the Fightin' Illini's spring practices.

"I really believe Illinois is a program on the turnaround. I thought they looked very good, but as Coach (Ron) Zook and Coach (Reggie) Mitchell kept telling me, there still much to improve. I also really liked the defensive line coach, (Tom) Sims, as he is loose, but still serious. He has the type of personality that will help me levitate to him. I also like the fact Illinois is close to home," Brown stated.

Brown will make his way to Manhattan, Kansas this Saturday where he will check out the first spring game under Ron Prince's tenure at Kansas State.

He is also receiving significant interest from Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, and Purdue.
