ISU Are Sixth After Two Rounds Championship

Jessica Shin is tied for 2nd after carding rounds of 75-70.

Shin, a sophomore from Mankato, Minn., is chasing history for the Cyclones. ISU has never had a player finish in the top-10 at the Big 12 Championship since the inception of the Big 12 in 1997 and her score of 70 today is the second-lowest score ever for a Cyclone in a Big 12 Championship round. Noel Jacobusse carded a 69 in the second round of the 2001 Big 12 Championship.

Junior Christi Athas is tied for 16th at 152. She followed up her first round 77 with a 75 today. Karly Pinder is tied for 30th, carding rounds of 77-78=155. Texas A&M's Ashley Knoll is in first place in the medalist race at 140, five shots ahead of Shin.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes tomorrow.
