We spoke with Kyle Shiloh, 6-2 JR PG Bakersfield (Calif.) Garces, last night and he told us he's been hearing from USC, Cal, Iowa St. and Nebraska.
While he has yet to receive an offer from those schools, Shiloh did say that he particularly likes Iowa St. "They've been talking about early playing time," Shiloh said.
Shiloh listed the coaching staff and campus as two factors that would weigh heavily in his decision.
Shiloh took an unofficial trip to Cal earlier this year. "I liked their campus a lot,"Shiloh said. "It seems like a fun city." He doesn't anticipate making a decision until after the summer. "Probably sometime in the fall," Shiloh said.
Right now, Shiloh doesn't know if he'll be playing on an AAU travel team. "A lot of those coaches try to control you for their own reasons," Shiloh said. He did say that he will play at the Mid-America camp in Kansas, as well as the Fullcourt Press camp in July.
Shiloh took the SAT in June, but has yet to receive his results. He said he's on track to qualify with his GPA.
