Walker's Decision Coming Soon

As of Sunday evening, Kenton Walker still hadn't returned home to sunny San Diego from his official visit to Iowa State this weekend. Walker was in Denver when he spoke to CN. Find out what Kenton had to say about his visit, and also when he is expecting to make his big decision right here at CycloneNation.com.

Kenton Walker, the 6'9 power forward out of Scripps Ranch HS in San Diego, California took his final official visit at Iowa State this weekend. The other two official visits that Walker took were at San Diego State and Creighton. According to Walker, Iowa State was impressive.

"It was a great school. The campus was nice. The people all around were really nice," Walker said on Sunday night.

One of the highlights of Walker's trip was his opportunity to go head to head with the current Iowa State players, specifically Jiri Hubalek.

"The talent was different than on my last two visits. I had to guard a European guy (Hubalek)," Walker said. "That was pretty interesting guarding him. Jiri likes to shoot a lot. I'm not used to guarding somebody who shoots that much. I did my best trying to stop him from shooting. It was really good competition. Most Europeans try and shoot a lot of threes. That's what Jiri did every time I guarded him."

Overall, Walker thought that he proved himself against the big boys.

"I did pretty well against them. It was really good playing with them."

Another highlight of Walker's visit was attending the football victory against UNI on Saturday night.

"We went to the football game. The atmosphere was amazing," Walker said. "It was really cool. A lot of people went out there and supported their team."

Joining Walker on his visit were two of his good friends and Iowa State recruits, Craig Brackins and Andre McFarland.

"It was just a great time with those two guys," Walker said. "It was just great being with those guys again."

So now it's time to ask the million dollar question. When will Walker commit to wherever he goes?

"In the next couple days I should be making my decision," Walker said.

As always, CycloneNation.com will keep you updated on Walkers commitment.
