Bernstine: Ears Are Open

Gene Chizik has had a lot of success in getting defensive backs to the NFL. So would Chizik coming to Iowa State change the most high profile recruit in the state of Iowa? Find out what Jordan Bernstine had to say about Iowa State's big hire right here at CN.

Jordan Bernstine is one of the most hyped prospects to come out of the state of Iowa in quite some time. Bernstine, a 5'11, 200 pound safety out of Lincoln HS in Des Moines has recently narrowed his choice of school down to five, including: Iowa, UCLA, Nebraska, Pittsburg and Texas A&M.

So with Chizik and his defensive background on the way to Ames, would that change Bernstine's mind about considering Iowa State?

"I would listen to him that's for sure," Bernstine told CycloneNation.com on Monday night.

Bernstine admitted to CN that as of right now, he doesn't know a lot about Iowa State's new head coach.

"I know a little bit, just the stuff that I've read today but not much about him," Bernstine said.

As of Monday night, Iowa State is still not on Bernstine's list, but the four-star prospect said that could change, depending on what the future brings.

"I might (double think Iowa State) but as far as now is concerned, it's just the schools that I have it narrowed down to," Bernstine said.
