Iowa State has already landed two backcourt players in Wes Eikmeier and Dominique Buckley in the class of 2008. The coaches are now focused on the big men in the class and one name that might be a factor is Corbin Moore out of Los Alamitos, CA.
Moore is a 6'10, 215 pound big man who
can play both the four and the five positions. As of now he still doesn't have
any offers to date, but several big-time Pac Ten schools are interested in
"Mainly a lot of Pac 10 schools
have been looking at me, schools around that area," Moore told CN on Sunday.
Those schools that Moore speaks of are Washington State, Cal, and Stanford. Along with the Pac 10
schools in the hunt, there's Iowa State.
Moore has a connection with Iowa State through assistant Coach T.J.
Otzelberger and his California AAU history.
"I've been talking with Coach T.J.
[Otzelberger]. He came to a couple of my games. I talked to him probably a
couple times a week. He'll text me or I'll call him," Moore said.
Would Moore be interested in a move to the Midwest if Iowa State came offering?
"I'm very interested in
Iowa State actually," Moore said.
CN will keep you posted.
