The Latest on Imari Sawyer

Contrary to some reports, former DePaul guard Imari Sawyer has not yet decided on where he will transfer to this season.

Sawyer could not be reached for comment Wednesday, but his mother told Cyclone Nation that he hasn't made up his mind and will do so in the next couple days.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder is believed to be looking at Iowa State and Seton Hall, among other programs. As a sophomore at DePaul last season he played in 17 games and averaged 8.9 points, 5.4 assists and three rebounds. Sawyer posted a season-high 20 points at East Carolina just prior to being suspended from the team for academic reasons.

CN has also learned that Sawyer could have some more academic hurdles to clear before enrolling at ISU and may need to spend at least one year at a junior college.
