Avery Cleveland Update

David Garvin of Heartland Recruiting and TheInsiders gives Cyclone Nation an update on Texas defender Avery Cleveland, who is considering Iowa State along with several other elite programs.

Even though LBJ has dropped their first two games, Cleveland has already recorded 37 tackles with two sacks in 2002.

"Are defense is playing OK," Cleveland told HR on Wednesday night. "We've just got to get going on offense."

Playing outside linebacker, Cleveland will also see some action at wide receiver and fullback for head coach David Seaborn this season.

Avery, who is now up to six-foot-three and 205 lbs, was asked about offers.

"My top four right now are Colorado, Miami, Georgia Tech and Texas A&M," he said. "And all four have offered. "My other offers are from Missouri, Arkansas, SMU, TCU, Kansas, Iowa State and Iowa."
