Blythe Comments Further on Choice

David Garvin of Heartland Recruiting and TheInsiders met up with new wide receiver commit Todd Blythe, the Cyclones' ninth in-state player for 2003, to get some further comments on his commitment to Iowa State.

The Indianola wide receiver had a difficult decision to make for the upcoming weekend. "I committed to Iowa State on Wednesday night," Blythe told HR on Thursday. "I knew that I wanted to be a Cyclone all along. The problem I had was attending the Iowa-Iowa State game as a guest of the Hawkeyes this weekend. I didn't want to come up as their guest, then two or three days later, call and tell them I was committing to Iowa State, that wouldn't be right. So I'm not going to the game afterall." Todd was asked about his game this weekend. "We're playing Valley High School in West Des Moines," he said. "They're the State Champions. It should be one heck of a game." Blythe is being recruited by Cyclone assistant Chris Ash.
