First things first. HR asked Woodley what happened in the second half against Garland last week.
"We were up 10-3 and looking pretty good at halftime," Woodley said. "Then I suffered a concussion in the third quarter. Nothing serious, but I was done for the night. After that, we just couldn't seem to get going offensively. I was averaging six yards per carry before I went down."
"Xan", as Woodley is called, was asked about this coming week.
"North Mesquite is always our biggest game of the year and with Tarell being my cousin, just makes it even bigger," he said. "We really want to win this one for several reasons. They're saying to expect about 25,000 people for the game."
Woodley started off slowly on the stat sheet this season, but has really picked it up offensively in the last three games.
About half the schools are recruiting me as a tailback back, the other half as a corner," he continued. "I have an official visit for Iowa State. I'm still considering about ten schools in all."
Depending on Friday's outcome, Woodley and Brown should have a lot to talk about on their trip to South Bend."
