A product of Houston (Texas) Lamar High School, Flanagan was a highly touted player in the Cyclones' 2001 signing class. He was moved from wide receiver to tight end prior to the start of training camp this fall.
McCarney Dismisses Flanagan from FB Team
Ryan Flanagan, a reserve tight end on the Iowa State football team, has been dismissed from the squad for team rules violations, Iowa State head coach Dan McCarney announced Monday.
