Ronald Simmons Update

David Garvin of Heartland Recruiting and TheInsiders gives Cyclone Nation an update on Dallas (Texas) A. Maceo Smith tailback Ronald Simmons, who is being actively recruited by Iowa State.

Don't let Simmons size fool you, over the past two seasons, the tailback from A. Maceo Smith has proven he can play.

Through the first eight games, Simmons has rushed for 1,442 yards on 181 carries with 12 touchdowns, currently placing him second on the 4-A leader rushing list in the DFW Metroplex. This after spraining his left MCL in the seventh game last season. But he's come all the way back.

"I'm five-foot-eight and weigh 185," Simmons told HR on Monday night. "The knee feels great now, no problem. I have no problem running a 4.4."

Ronald was asked about his favorites.

"I like Colorado State, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Arkansas," Simmons said. "And Colorado contines to send me information. Coloardo State has already offered."

Simmons, like many others this time of year, has his eye on the post-season.

"We still have a good shot at the playoffs," he said. "And we play Roosevelt Thursday night."
