The 6-foot-1, 200-pound linebacker feels the visit to Ames went as well as possible. "It was well worth the trip because I got to know the coaches a lot better," said Prior. "I got to talk with Coach Chizik for about a half hour and that went real well. He told me that I am what they are looking for at linebacker and that I would have a good chance of playing early," he said. "I think Coach Chizik is going to get things turned around and really get Iowa State back on the right track."
Daniel also got to see most of the campus during the day. "I got to meet with the academic people at the Academic Center and I got to see the practice facility which was unreal," he said. "I also really liked seeing the stadium which is already nice and I guess they are going to make it even better in the future."
Daniel currently has nine scholarship offers including ones from the likes of UTEP, Rice, and SMU. He says that he is not sure yet when he will make his final decision but that he might also be back in Ames during the fall. "It's nice because they are not pressuring me or anything. They want me to come up for an official visit during the fall but I might make a decision before then," he said. "I'm just really happy I made the visit because I got to see how well their coaches bond with the players."
