Texas Defensive End Names His Top Five

Defensive lineman La Christopher Anyiam is already adjusting to one change in his life due to the fact that his family moved from the city of Plano to the ciy of Allen in the state of Texas. Now the 6-foot-4, 247-pound Anyiam states that he might be adjusting to a new position once he gets to college.

"A lot of schools want to move me from defensive end to defensive tackle," he said. "I don't mind at all. I would just need to put a little more weight on and it would be no problem at all."

Anyiam is excited about his recruitment and named his current top five schools. "The five schools that I am looking at the hardest are Kansas, Iowa State, North Texas, Kansas State, and Utah."

One of those five, the Iowa State Cyclones, are communicating with La Christopher on a consistent basis. "I've mostly been in touch with two of their coaches," said Anyiam. "Coach Fountain came to one of my scrimmages and I talk with Coach Pelton about once every two weeks. He also came and saw me and really liked my tapes."

Anyiam considers himself to be an aggressive defensive lineman. "I feel I have good hand movement in getting blockers off me," he said. "I feel my other strength is that I'm quick off the edge. I just need to keep on getting a lot stronger."

La Christopher feels he is in no hurry to make his final decision. "I'll probably make it during the season," said Anyiam. "I would say about the middle of the season once I have taken all my visits."
