Iowa State Recruiting Texas Running Back

Conroe (TX) High School running back Lou Greenwood has five scholarship offers from Colorado State, Iowa State, Houston, Syracuse, and Ole Miss but two of them have jumped to the top of his list.

"I'm considering Iowa State and Syracuse the most," he said. "It's because I've talked to them the most and they have shown the most interest in me."

The 6-foot, 175-pound running back says he mostly stays in touch with Iowa State assistant coach Jay Boulware. "He's real cool and we probably talk every couple of weeks. He also e-mails me a lot."

Greenwood is spending the summer working out and trying to get better. "I run a 4.5 forty but I'm trying to get faster. It helps because I'm more of a slashing type of running back."

While Greenwood already has five scholarship offers, he hopes to add to that list in the near future. "I'm talking a lot with Nebraska, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Baylor," he said. "But right now they have not offered so I'm focused on the other schools."

Lou feels he likely won't be making a final decision any time soon. "I'll more likely make it after the season because I want to take my visits before I commit," said Greenwood. "I'd prefer to stay in Texas but that probably is not going to happen."
