Iowa State Summer Football Recruiting Update

Cyclone Sports Report has talked to numerous Iowa State football recruiting targets in the past month. Throughout the rest of July and August we will be updating you as often as possible with the potential twists and turns that many of these players will take before possibly making their final decision this fall.

Daniel Prior (Henderson, TX): The outstanding linebacker stated that he has five favorites at the moment. They are SMU, Rice, Iowa State, Baylor, and TCU. All have offered except for TCU but he said he feels they are close to offering. He has already taken an unofficial visit to Ames this summer but stated that he fully plans to take an official visit to see Iowa State once again this fall.

Drew Clark (Marion, IA): The underrated offensive guard stated that he is clearly down to two schools that have both offered: Iowa and Iowa State. He said that he wants to make his decision by no later than early in the fall so it will be real interesting to see who wins this in-state battle.

Andrew Green (San Antonio, TX): The outstanding cornerback stated that the Cyclones and Nebraska are still recruiting him the hardest. He was on an unofficial visit this weekend to Kansas and stated that he was still undecided. He says that he is in contact with Cyclone Assistant Coach Jay Rodgers constantly and that it is very likely that he will take an official visit to Ames this fall.

Leevon Perry (St.Paul, MN): As we told you about a month ago, Leevon is essentially Iowa State's second commit as long as his grades are okay. The defensive lineman told me that he is doing very well in his summer classes and that he feels he did well on the ACT which he took on June 16th. He says that he doesn't talk to any other schools and that he fully plans to attend Iowa State in the fall of 2009.
