Kelm Enjoying Busy Summer

2010 recruit Kyle Kelm has enjoyed most of his summer basketball schedule but recently he had to deal with a very frustrating loss.

"We made it to the Final Four at the Kentucky Hoops Fest," he said. "We led by eight with four minutes to go to get into the championship and we ended up losing by one."

Kelm is a player that Iowa State has targeted for their 2010 recruiting class and he clearly noticed who was in the audience down in Kentucky. "Coach McDermott was there for all my games during the tournament."

Kyle is considered an outstanding outside shooter for a big man but is trying to show he can play in the post as well. "I like playing both during a game," said Kelm. "I like to start off inside and get my confidence up for my outside shot."

The 6-foot-9, 210-pound Kelm has offers from UNI, Bradley, Iowa State, Marquette, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay, and most recently from Iowa.

Kyle continues his busy summer when his Wisconsin Swing AAU team travels to Las Vegas next week for the Main Event.
