Farmer Will Soon Be Visiting Iowa State

Will an August visit lead to a commit from the Cloud County C.C. star forward?

"I am going to be taking an unofficial visit to Iowa State on August 2nd," said Farmer. "My dad hasn't seen the school yet so we will be going up so that he can also meet and talk with the coaches and see the campus."

The 6-foot-5 forward also plans on taking an official visit to Iowa State later in the fall for a football game but could make a final decision earlier. "I could make a decision before then. If I really feel on my visit with my dad that Iowa State is the place for me then I might just commit."

Farmer also has been staying in touch with one of Iowa State's top players. "I'm still talking with Craig Brackins," he said. "It's nice that we already have a friendship so that if I do commit to Iowa State it will make it even more comfortable."

As the summer winds down, Jemal is just trying to continue to work on his game. "I'm playing in different leagues in Chicago and working out like 4 to 5 times a week," said Farmer. "I head back to school on August 17th and then we start classes on the 19th or 20th."

Farmer said the only new school to call his coach recently was Arkansas and he will be also be taking an unofficial visit to Illinois State the day before his visit to Iowa State.
