Cyclone Commitment Roundup Week 3

It was another very successful week for the Iowa State 2009 commitments. Cyclone Sports Report found out that one of them will be receiving a visit from the Cyclone coaching staff in November.

Beau Blankenship:

Beau was very excited when we caught up with him because he had just got off the phone with Iowa State assistant coach Shawn Raney who informed Beau that the staff would be paying him a visit during the week of the Cyclones road game against Oklahoma State.

Blankenship had another great week helping Norman North High School to a 26-15 over #3 ranked Muskogee. Beau had 70 yards receiving, 45 yards rushing, and he scored two touchdowns on the night. This week they take on Westmore High School.

Ryan Mosby:

The star linebacker helped Rockwall Heath High School keep their record perfect at 2-0 with an outstanding effort in their 24-8 victory over Arlington Seguin High School. He had 14 tackles and 1 sack on the night and says that he might be switching his official visit date. He is slated to visit Ames for the Texas A&M game in October but he said he might be moving it to November for the Missouri game. This week his team takes on Dallas Hillcrest High School.

Kyle Lichtenberg:

Kyle helped Bettendorf defeat Davenport North High School 35-0. Kyle wasn't happy with the intensity of his team early in the game and hopes his team comes out fired up when they take on Clinton High School this week.

Conor Boffeli:

Helped Valley High School destroy Marshalltown 54-0. He had two catches for twenty yards, two sacks, and didn't play at all in the second half due to the game being out of reach. Next up for Valley is a road game at Newton High School.

A.J. Klein:

Klein also didn't play the whole game due to Kimberly High School's route of Menasha 49-0. Klein will be in Ames for his official visit on October 4th for the Kansas game. Next up for him will be a road game at Fond Du Lac High School this week.

Josh Lenz:

Josh had another big game in helping Dubuque Hempstead to a 22-6 victory over Waterloo East. Lenz had 15 carries for 173 yards and a touchdown on the ground and 3 catches for 39 yards and a touchdown through the air. This week Lenz will face Darion Howard (Cyclone recruit) when they play host to Cedar Falls High School.

Troy Butler and Taylor Martin:

Troy and Taylor suffered another tough loss when Antelope Valley College was defeated by Ventura College 35-7. Butler had 4 tackles on the day and Martin added one.
