Foster also liked getting to catch up with Iowa State assistant coach Jay Boulware. "I met him during the spring and I immediately liked him," he said. "Now our relationship is definitely even better now that I got to hang out with him during the weekend."
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound cornerback visited Iowa State with his brother and really enjoyed the atmosphere during the Cyclones tough loss to Kansas. "It was a crazy atmosphere and the students were standing the whole time," said Foster. "They really have die-hard fans who really were into it the whole game."
Eddie got to talk with Iowa State Head Coach Gene Chizik on Sunday and came away very impressed. "He really wants another cornerback and he's recruiting me to come in and play," said Foster. "He told me that it's only his second year and that he feels they are really improving. I know he's a good coach. He's coached three Jim Thorpe Award winners so he definitely has a lot of credibility."
Foster is clearly very interested in Iowa State but says that he is going to wait for a while before he makes a final decision. "I've got to do what's best for me," he said. "I know it won't be until I take all my visits. I'm definitely going to visit Ole Miss and Vanderbilt and then I might take a few after the season."
