Cyclone Commitment Roundup Week 6

It was another successful week for the Iowa State recruits and two of them are very excited to get back on field this week after having to sit out with injuries last Friday.

Conor Boffeli:

The Valley tight end was not in uniform for their 52-7 victory over Mason City. Conor told Cyclone Sports Report that he practiced for the first time in two weeks on Tuesday and that his shoulder felt great. He fully expects to play this week when they host Waukee High School on Friday.

Beau Blankenship:

The #2 ranked Norman North High School football team didn't need their star running back on Friday as they destroyed Moore High School 44-0. Beau said that he is feeling very good and that he will be in uniform this week when they take on Mustang High School.

Ryan Mosby:

Ryan helped Rockwall Heath High School improve to 5-0 by making 12 tackles and also getting a sack in their 38-21 victory over Rockwall High School. He said his injured shoulder is fine and that he is very excited for this week's game against Carlton Newman Smith High School because Iowa State assistant coaches Scott Fountain and Jeff Koonz will be attendance to watch him play.

Kyle Lichtenberg:

#2 ranked Bettendorf improved to 6-0 as they won their homecoming game against Davenport West 44-13. Kyle's next opponent this week is Davenport Central High School.

Troy Butler and Taylor Martin:

Antelope Valley College won their second straight on Saturday defeating Santa Monica College 28-6. While did Taylor Martin did not get any tackles, safety Troy Butler came up with three. Butler told Cyclone Sports Report that he stays in touch with the Iowa State coaches each week and that he can't wait to graduate at semester so that he can get to Ames to start his Cyclone career.

A.J. Klein:

Klein helped Kimberly (WI) Wisconsin defeat Neenah High School 49-7 before taking off for his official visit to Ames. Next up this week is a game against Oshkosh West.

Josh Lenz:

The Dubuque Hempstead star running back rushed for 197 yards and two touchdown during their 55-7 victory over Dubuque Senior High School. Next up for Josh is Cedar Rapids Xavier High School on Friday night.
