Cyclone Commitment Roundup Week 7

Who are the two Iowa State commits that are currently playing for #1 ranked teams?

Conor Boffeli:

Conor returned from his shoulder injury and helped #1 ranked Valley High School (7-0) to another victory as they defeated Waukee High School 24-17. Conor said that his shoulder felt fine after the game. He played every other series and when they ran any double tight end set on offense. Valley hosts Fort Dodge High School on Friday night and then Conor will be heading up to Ames for an unofficial visit on Saturday to see the Cyclones take on Nebraska.

A.J. Klein:

Less than a week after taking his official visit to Iowa State, Klein had a huge game helping #1 ranked Kimberly High School to a 49-19 victory. The star linebacker had 10 tackles, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery. Next up for Kimberly High School is a road game at Appleton East.

Beau Blankenship:

Norman North High School suffered its first loss on the season when a dropped a tough game 30-29 to 6th ranked Mustang High School. Beau, who will be taking his official visit to Ames this weekend, said his sore shoulder felt pretty good after the game but that he still had some soreness. He ended the game with 100 yards rushing and 70 yards receiving along with two touchdowns. This week they take on Del City High School.

Kyle Lichtenberg:

It was another easy victory for #2 ranked Bettendorf as they rolled over Davenport Central 42-0. This Friday they take on Burlington High School and the next day Kyle hopes to be taking an unofficial visit to Ames for the Nebraska game.

James White:

10th-ranked Dallas Skyline High School beat Richardson 35-16 as James had 96 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving. Skyline is now 5-1 and this week they take on Richardson Berkner.

Ryan Mosby:

Ryan helped 3rd-ranked Rockwall Heath High School (6-0) defeat Newman Smith High School 28-3 with 12 tackles and one sack. He was also excited because Cyclone assistant coach Jeff Koonz paid him a visit at his school Friday morning. This week they take on Royce City High School.

D.J. Beshears:

Ryan High School (4-2)suffered a tough 31-38 loss to Lake Dallas as Beshears caught 7 passes for 108 yards. This Thursday they play host to Little Elm High School.

Josh Lenz:

Dubuque Hempstead dropped to 4-3 when they lost their homecoming game 23-6 to Cedar Rapids Xavier. Josh had 15 carries for 77 yards and caught 3 passes for 25 yards along with one touchdown. Josh will also be joining some of the other commits this weekend in Ames for an unofficial visit. This Friday they take on Cedar Rapids Kennedy.

Taylor Martin and Troy Butler:

The Antelope Valley commits did not play due their bye week but they go after their third straight victory this weekend when they take on West Los Angeles City College.
