ISU On Defense Against Nebraska

The Iowa State defense has given up an average of 36 points over the last three games. What can the Cyclones defense do to change this trend?

The Cyclone Sports Report Three Keys To Look For On Saturday afternoon.

1)BE THE AGGRESSOR AND CLOSE THE DEAL-In their last home game against Kansas, the Cyclones defense came out and completely dominated in the first half before collapsing in the second half. They need to take that attitude and run with it for FOUR QUARTERS this time. They also can't let what happened at UNLV and Baylor take place by giving up a combined 42 points in the first half of those games.

2)PRESSURE THE QUARTERBACK-Only Oklahoma State and Texas A&M have less sacks than Iowa State and if the Cyclones want to create turnovers on Saturday, they will have to get to Cornhusker quarterback Joe Ganz a few times.

3)EARLY TURNOVERS-The Cyclones had their streak of causing at least one turnover stopped at five games last week at Baylor. They need to get the Cyclone crowd going early and this would be the perfect way of doing it.
