Mike's host for the weekend was his close friend and former high school teammate Leonard Johnson. "It was nice getting to see him and talk with all the players," said Marry. "Leonard would definitely like me to go there but he's not putting any pressure on me. He just says to do whatever is best for me."
Marry also really liked what he saw from game day at Iowa State. "It was really nice for us. We were in the stands for a lot of the game but we also got to go on the field at times," he said. "The Cyclones fans were really good. They reminded me of the Florida fans."
During his visit, Mike was able to sit down with Iowa State Head Coach Gene Chizik. "He just told me how he is playing a lot of young guys and that there is a good chance that I could play early," said Marry. "He told me that they really need linebackers and that he's always going to put the best people on the field. I like that he's real upfront with you."
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker made it clear that he really likes Iowa State but that he is not close to a decision. "I really liked the visit and they are definitely one of my top schools but I'm not ready to make a decision yet," he said. "I'll be taking all my visits and then I'll make decision in December or January."
