The 5-foot-8, 156-pound cornerback liked everything about Iowa State during his visit this weekend. "I had a bunch of fun and the atmosphere was amazing," said Reeves. "The coaches were great and the fans were crazy. Coach Chizik said he's rebuilding the program and to not worry about the record. He pointed out how the fans still come even though they are not winning as much right now."
Jeremy also liked hanging out with his host for the weekend. "They had Darius Darks as my host and he's a real cool dude," he said. "He showed me around and just let me know that if I want to come in and start in the Big 12, this is the place to do so."
Reeves added that he really got to know Coach Chizik on the visit and really liked what he had to say. "I got to talk with him three times and I really liked how he is such a good coach for defensive backs. That alone made me happy," he said. "He told me that he really liked what he saw from me on film and that he wasn't recruiting me to come in and sit. He told me that he feels that I can come in and challenge to play next year."
Reeves also liked what Iowa State had to offer academically. "I really enjoyed meeting the academic adviser and he told me about how well the athletes have been doing which was a huge plus for Iowa State right there," he said. "I plan on majoring in sports medicine or sports management."
Jeremy also has an offer from New Mexico and is being recruited heavily by Utah and SMU.
