Cyclone Commitment Roundup Week 9

It was a great week as all 13 Iowa State commits helped their team to a victory.

Jeremy Reeves: The newest Cyclone commit helped Allen (TX) High School to a 49-17 victory against Jensuit High School. His 85-yard punt return for a touchdown helped move their overall record to 7-1. They are now #2 ranked in state and will play Plano East this weekend.

Conor Boffeli: The West Des Moines Valley tight end says that he is feeling no pain from his shoulder inury that he suffered about a month ago. He helped push the #1 ranked team in Iowa to a 9-0 record when they beat Sioux City North 42-7. They play Des Moines Lincoln tonight in the first round of the playoffs.

Troy Butler and Taylor Martin: The two Cyclone commits helped Antelope Valley College win their fourth straight game with a 47-14 victory over East Los Angeles College. Butler had 7 tackles and Martin had one.

Josh Lenz: Josh helped push Dubuque Hempstead to a 5-4 record by rushing 20 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns. The victory over Waterloos East helped them get into the state playoffs. They take on Burlington High School tonight in the first round.

Deon Broomfield: Bayside (FL) High School is now 4-3 thanks to a 47-13 victory over Port St.Lucie High School. Deon helped with 6 tackles and a blocked punt. This week they take will try and get a road victory at Eau Gallie High School.

Kyle Lichtenberg: Kyle helped #2 ranked Bettendorf to a 31-6 victory over Davenport Assumption High School to move to 9-0 on the season. They take on Clinton High School tonight in the first round of the state playoffs.

James White: The star running back had 7 carries for 80 yards and caught 3 passes for 41 yards and a touchdown as Skyline (TX) High School beat previously undefeated Creek View High School 31-28. This week they take on W.T. White High School.

Ryan Mosby: His 5 tackles helped Rockwall Heath High School stay undefeated as they won a 56-49 shootout over Richardson Pearce High School. This week they take on Carrolton Turner High School.

D.J. Beshears: D.J. had 5 catches for 85 yards and touchdown in Ryan (TX) High School's 66-36 victory over Ol High School. This Friday they have a road game against The Colony High School.

Jacques Washington: Jacques helped Owasso (OK) High School move their record to 4-4 with 140 yards rushing and a touchdown in their 49-14 victory over Choctaw High School. This week they take on Yukon High School.

Beau Blankenship: Helped Norman North (OK) High School move their record to 5-2 with 52-20 victory over South Moore High School. He only played the first half but still had 9 carries for 110 yards and 3 touchdowns. They play Edmond Santa Fe on Thursday night.

A.J. Klein: Helped #3 ranked Kimberly High School past Oshkosh North 33-17 as he had 8 tackles. Then last night he helped them win their first playoff game defeating Southeast High School 48-13.
