ISU On Offense Against Colorado

The Iowa State offense has been held to under 18 points in three of the last four games. So the big question is will the Cyclone offense bust out in Boulder this weekend?

The Cyclone Sports Report Three Keys To Look For On Saturday Afternoon:

1)RUN THE BALL-The Cyclone offense has to give the Cyclone defense some rest and the best way to do that is to run the ball. The Colorado defense is second in the Big 12 in pass defense so need to get Alexander Robinson going early and often.

2)MAKE THE BIG KICKS-This is a game that matches the two teams ranked last in offense in the Big 12. So I'm expecting that kicker Grant Mahoney might have to step up and make some big field goals if the Cyclones expect to win.

3)BLOCK OR SIT-Over half of the offensive line is either freshmen or sophomores and the coaching staff needs to make sure that these guys realize that they are playing for their job this year and in 2009. The Cyclones seven game losing streak could definitely come to an end if the offensive line comes to play in Boulder on Saturday.
