ISU On Defense Against Missouri

What do the Cyclones need to do on defense to help get their first home conference victory?

The Cyclones Sports Report Three Keys To Look For On Saturday Night:

1)BELIEVE-The Cyclones were supposed to get blown out by Oklahoma late last year at home and then played one of their best games of the year. If they come out like that against Missouri with the home crowd behind them they might make things interesting.

2)STOP THEM ON THIRD DOWN-The Cyclones are 11th in the Big 12 in stopping teams on third down allowing teams to convert 52% of the time. If they let Missouri continue to keep drives alive on third down it will be a long night for the Iowa State defense. Missouri is already averaging 39 points per game. If they want to keep them under that number they need to stop them on third down.

3)DO IT FOR THE SENIORS-All of the Cyclone defensive starters need to remember that this is the last home game for guys like Michael Tate, Kurtis Taylor, and Brandon Hunley. They need to do everything in their power to make sure their last game in Ames is as memorable as possible.
