The 6-foot, 192-pound running back has 4.4 speed and carried the ball 209 times this year for 2,238 yards and 23 touchdowns. "I'm just looking for a place that I can play right away," he said. "I hate watching knowing that I could be out there helping."
Al-Terek has scholarship offers from Cincinnati, USF, Nebraska, North Carolina, Purdue, Kansas, FIU, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, UCF, and Iowa State. "I have already taken visits to Nebraska and Purdue," said McBurse. "I plan on taking a visit likely to Iowa State or Kansas in December. I might go to both but I'm not sure yet. I have to check with my parents in regards to how many visits I will take."
Al-Terek says that Iowa State has really stepped up their interest in him over the last few weeks. "They came to my school this week and the head coach is supposed to be calling me this weekend," he said. "They really want me to come up for a visit."
McBurse will likely take his visits during December and then make a final decision. "I'll just take my visits and then make a decision," he said. "I'm not sure when that will be but I definitely plan on making it before signing day."
