Williams Set To Meet With Cyclone Staff

Oak Ridge (FL) High School's DeAndre Williams just received his fourth scholarship offer this week and is very excited about it.

"I just got an offer from Iowa State and I know they play big schools like Texas so I would say that I have extra interest in them," he said. "Some of their coaches are coming to my house on Thursday for a visit."

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle currently has offers from Iowa State, Florida International, Middle Tennessee, and Florida Atlantic. "Right now I would say that all four are equal," said Williams. "I'm going to take my visits in January and then make my final decision."

He definitely hopes to visit Ames and says that it will likely happen. "I've been talking with Coach Fountain and Coach McFarland came by my school last week," he said. "We've talked about me taking a visit there but we haven't set a date yet."

If DeAndre does in fact take a visit to Iowa State he will likely get to talk with one of his past opponents. "I know Jeremiah Schwartz is up there which is good to know," he said. "I played against him last year when he was at Edgewater High School."
