Will Boffeli Open Things Up?

The 2009 Cyclone commits had to wait one week to find out who was going to be the next head coach at Iowa State. Cyclone Sports Report caught up with tight end Conor Boffeli to get his thoughts on the new hire.

"I'm keeping all my options open," he said. "I'm still committed to Iowa State but I really need to see what is going to happen with coaching staff and I need to talk with Coach Rhoads. I'm sure I'll get that opportunity in the near future."

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end says that he has spoken to some other schools in the past week. "I have heard from Iowa, UNI, and Missouri this week but I'm just waiting right now to see what happens," said Boffeli. "I might schedule some visits in January but right now I'm not sure."

While Conor has never met new Cyclone head coach Paul Rhoads, he does feel that the Cyclone administration has made a solid choice. "I think it's a good hire," said Boffeli. "He's a local guy and he seems like he's accomplished a lot during his coaching career."
