The 6-foot, 180-pound wide receiver said that Iowa State jumped into the picture just in the last week. "My old friend David Sims from Butte said he was going on a visit to Iowa State and so I told him to my name in with the coaches," he said. "Coach Ash called me last Thursday and then we set up the visit. I've known Coach Ash for a while because he recruited me out of high school."
Josh said he really enjoyed his visit and getting to know Cyclone Head Coach Paul Rhoads. "We were just talking and I liked what he had to say," said Bellamy. "He told me about Coach Herman at offensive coordinator and I thought that would be cool to play for him because he had Rice in the top five of most offensive categories this year."
Josh also got to bond with potentially his future quarterback. "I really liked hanging with Austen (Arnaud)," he said. "Him and I hung out the whole time and we got along real well."
Josh also expressed that he is excited about his second chance and that he doesn't care where they would put him on offense. "I messed up in high school and now I'm just excited to have another chance," he said. "I don't care whether they put me in the slot or whether they put me outside. I'll go across the middle or I'll go deep because I run a 4.38 forty. I just want to get into the end zone."
