CSR Goes One-On-One With Conor Boffeli

West Des Moines (IA) Valley High School's Conor Boffeli decided to open things up after Gene Chizik left Iowa State. Cyclone Sports Report caught up with Conor to find out exactly where his recruitment stands today.

Cyclone Sports Report: Where do things stand today with your recruitment?

Conor Boffeli: It's pretty much down to Iowa and Iowa State. I'd say things are pretty even between both and right now I'm just taking a good look at both schools.

CSR: Do you have visits coming up to both?

CB: Yes, I'm going to Iowa this weekend for an official visit and then to Iowa State on the 30th for my official visit.

CSR: Is there any chance you would commit to Iowa this weekend during your visit?

CB: No, I don't think so. The chances are very slim of that happening. I fully plan on taking both my visits.

CSR: Have you had any in-home visits lately?

CB: Yes, Iowa's Coach Ferentz and Coach Morgan came to my house a few weeks ago and Coach Fountain from Iowa State is coming to my school and then to my house this Thursday.

CSR: Do the two schools expect you to play the same position?

CB: Iowa is recruiting me on the offensive line and Iowa State has said tight end at first but I'm trying to go under the impression that I will play offensive line eventually at either school.

CSR: What will your final decision come down to?

CB: Since I really like both coaching staffs it will come down to how comfortable I feel with the players. They're the guys that I'm going to be hanging out with for the next four to five years so that will be huge.

CSR: When can we expect a final decision?

CB: I should know shortly after the visit to Iowa State.
