Iowa State Looking At Florida Safety

Where does the recruitment stand for Miami (FL) Sunset High School's Fabrice Pratt?

"I'm going up to Iowa State on the 30th for a visit," said Pratt. "Two weeks ago Coach Fountain came and saw me and I just had a two hour visit with Coach Pope on Sunday and that went really well. We talked about everything like school work, hard work, and family. I really liked him as a coach."

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound free safety is a soft verbal to Kent State but he says that things will likely change if he receives an offer from Iowa State. "I definitely like Iowa State more than Kent State and if they offer me a scholarship I would likely commit," he said. "I might take a little time to think about it but they are definitely the top school on my list."

Fabrice also enjoyed talking with Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads on the phone recently. "It went real good and we talked about everything," said Pratt. "He said they watched my film and that they like the way I get to the ball and that I have great form with my tackling."

An offer from Iowa State would also offer Pratt a chance to play in the Big 12 which is clearly something he would like to do. "Playing in the Big 12 would be great because it has a lot of competition and that's what I want," he said. "I told Coach Pope when he visited that I'd really like to do that in the future."
