Cyclones Land Texas Offensive Lineman

Due to his solid reputation at Auburn, new Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads was able to land another commit for his 2009 recruiting class.

"I just committed to Iowa State," said Centennial (TX) High School's Aaron Moore. "I just feel comfortable with Coach Rhoads."

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound center was a former Auburn commit who decided to open things up shortly after former Iowa State head coach Gene Chizik took over at Auburn. "I was fine with them hiring Coach Chizik at first," he said. "But after talking with their new running backs coach I decided that it was best for me to decommit."

Aaron wasn't sure where he would go from there until he remembered something. "So then I was just kind of playing the field and seeing what schools would come at me," said Moore. "Then me and my dad realized that Coach Rhoads was now the head coach at Iowa State. So we e-mailed Coach Fountain and then I had a talk with Coach Bleil and that's when he said that they had an offer on the table for me. I decided that this would be the best situation for me so I committed."

He then would get a call from Coach Rhoads soon after that. "He called and he was real excited," said Moore. "He said that him and some of the coaches would coming down to visit me on Wednesday this week and then we set up a visit for me to come up to Iowa State on Friday."

Although Aaron played center in high school he says he's not sure where he'll be playing at Iowa State. "Coach Bleil said they weren't sure where I would play yet," said Moore. "He said they might also look at me on defense since I played defensive end in high school also. That would be fine because Coach Rhoads had a great defense at Auburn so I would fine with that."
