Martin Decides ISU Is Still The Best Choice

After former Iowa State head coach Gene Chizik left for Auburn, Cyclone commit Taylor Martin decided to open up his recruitment. He recently decided that Iowa State was still his number one choice.

"I'm still committed to Iowa State and that's where I'm going to go," said Martin. "Last week I decided I was done with looking at other schools."

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive end from Antelope Valley College said that he looks forward to playing defense for Coach Rhoads. "They expect me to be an impact player who can make a difference on the defense," he said. "He likes to play aggressive defense and I like that also so he should be fun to play for. I've talked to him a few times and he seems like a pretty good person."

Taylor also expects some visitors this week. "Coach Rhoads and Coach Ash will be coming out to visit me on Thursday," said Martin. "They're coming to Antelope so that we can talk more about my role at Iowa State."
